Marine Weather StatementIssued 3:14 PM ADT 15 August 2020 Tropical storm Kyle located just south of Georges Bank at
Forecast time is expected to track east-northeastward passing just
south of the marine district to lie east of Laurentian Fan Sunday
evening. Gale to storm force winds are expected near Kyle.
Marine interests are advised that storm warning are in effect
For the southern halves of Georges Bank and West Scotian Slope.
Gale warnings are in effect for East Scotian Slope, Laurentian Fan
and the northern halves of Georges Bank and West Scotian Slope.
At 3.00 PM ADT today tropical storm Kyle was located near latitude
38.7 north and longitude 64.6 west, about 315 nautical miles or
583 kilometres south-southeast of Yarmouth, Nova Scotia. Maximum
sustained winds were estimated at 50 knots (93 km/h) and central
pressure at 999 MB. Kyle is moving east-northeast at
20 knots (37 km/h).
