Issued 10:00 AM ADT 16 April 2021 Today Tonight and Saturday At 10:00 a.m. ADT today quasi-stationary low 994 mb located nearCape Cod.
At 3:30 p.m. ADT today trough from low located on a line east-west
over the southwestern Marine District.
By 10:00 a.m. ADT Saturday weakening trough from low located from
the Gulf of Maine to East Scotian Slope.
Marine Weather Statement
Issued 9:26 AM ADT 16 April 2021 A trough of low pressure will approach from the west today and moveslowly across the southern marine district later today and tonight
before gradually weakening on Saturday. Strong to gale force easterly
winds are expected ahead and near the trough today and then will
weaken slightly on Saturday. South of the trough winds will shift to
moderate to strong westerlies.
Marine interests are advised that gale warnings are in effect for
Grand Manan, Lurcher, Browns Bank, Georges Bank, southwestern shore,
LaHave Bank, West Scotian Slope and East Scotian Slope.
Outlook for the start-up of the eastern shore lobster fishery...
Sunday...Winds variable 10 to 15 knots becoming westerly 20 in the
afternoon. Sea state near 2 metres.
