Slope.
By 3:00 a.m. AST Friday trough from 992 mb low located over
Laurentian Fan extending northeastward.

At 8:00 p.m. AST tonight ridge located west of the Marine District.
By 8:00 p.m. AST Friday ridge located on a line northeast-southwest
over Laurentian Fan.

At 8:00 p.m. AST Friday approaching trough located on a line
northeast-southwest over Maine.

Marine Weather Statement

Issued 7:43 PM AST 22 February 2024 Strong to gale force east to northeast winds are occurring over
southern waters between a ridge of high pressure over Newfoundland
and a low pressure system south of East Scotian Slope. The low will
move through southeastern waters tonight and Friday morning with
strong northwesterlies diminishing in its wake. Another trough of low
pressure will approach the district late in the day Friday.

Marine interests are advised that gale warnings are in effect for
West Scotian Slope and East Scotian Slope.
