By 3:00 a.m. ADT Sunday departing low 998 mb located south of the
Avalon Peninsula.
At 3:30 p.m. ADT Sunday approaching ridge located over the Gulf
of Maine.
Marine Weather Statement
Issued 7:40 PM ADT 14 March 2026 A low pressure system over Southern New Brunswick will move to lieover Cape Breton this evening. Strong to gale force southeasterlies
ahead of the low shift to strong to gale force westerlies in its
wake.
The low will continue eastward overnight and pass just south of the
Avalon Peninsula.
Marine interests are advised that gale warnings are in effect for
Georges Bank, southwestern shore, LaHave Bank, West Scotian Slope,
eastern shore, Sable, East Scotian Slope, Fourchu, Banquereau,
Laurentian Fan, Cabot Strait and Gulf-Magdalen.
Marine interests are also advised that a freezing spray warning is in
effect for Anticosti.
