Technical Marine Synopsis

Issued 8:00 PM ADT 3 August 2020 Tonight and Tuesday At 8:00 p.m. ADT tonight low 1004 mb located north of the Gaspe
Peninsula.
By 3:30 p.m. ADT Tuesday departing low 1007 mb located over eastern
Newfoundland.

At 10:00 a.m. ADT Tuesday ridge located on a line
northwest-southeast over Maine.
By 8:00 p.m. ADT Tuesday ridge located on a line north-south over
the Gulf of St. Lawrence.

Marine Weather Statement

Issued 7:40 PM ADT 3 August 2020 Tropical cyclone information statement.

At 6:00 P.M. ADT, tropical storm Isaias was located near
Latitude 32.0 north and longitude 79.4 west, or about 55 nautical
miles south-southeast of Charleston, South Carolina. Isaias had
maximum sustained winds of 60 knots and a minimum central pressure of
993 millibars. Isaias is currently moving north-northeast at about
15 knots. Isaias will continue moving north-northeast tonight and
Tuesday to eventually move inland and pass west of New Brunswick on
Wednesday. Although there still remains some uncertainty at this
time, Isaias could possibly bring marginal gales to westernmost
waters on Wednesday.
