Marine Weather StatementIssued 2:39 AM AST 29 February 2024 An intense cold front extending from a low over Quebec will move
eastward across the marine district today. Gale force southerly winds
ahead of the front will shift to gale force westerlies in its wake.
These westerlies are forecast to reach storm force over the Bay of
Chaleur later this morning for a few hours.
Marine interests are advised that a storm warning is in effect for
Chaleur-Miscou. Gale warnings are in effect for all remaining waters.
Marine interests are also advised that freezing spray warnings are in
effect for all waters except Georges Bank, West Scotian Slope, East
Scotian Slope, and Laurentian Fan.
