Marine Weather Statement
Issued 9:47 AM NDT 5 May 2025 An intensifying low pressure system over Belle Isle Bank will trackeastward across Belle Isle Bank this morning before departing east of
the district later today and tonight. Strong to gale force
northwesterlies can be expected over most waters behind this feature.
On Tuesday, strong to gale force southwesterlies will develop over
western and northern waters between a trough of low pressure tracking
north of the district and a strong area of high pressure passing to
the south.
Marine interests are advised that gale warnings are in effect for
Strait of Belle Isle, Gulf - Port au Port, Belle Isle Bank, Funk
Island Bank, and Northern Grand Banks.
