Issued 3:30 PM NST 1 March 2024 Tonight and Saturday At 3:30 p.m. NST today trough located east of the Grand Banks.
By 3:30 p.m. NST Saturday trough located east of the Marine
District.

At 3:30 p.m. NST today ridge located southwest of the Maritimes.
By 3:30 p.m. NST Saturday ridge located south of Laurentian Fan.

Marine Weather Statement

Issued 3:17 PM NST 1 March 2024 A trough of low pressure east of the Grand Banks will continue to
track eastward. Strong to gale force westerlies are expected to
persist over most waters in its wake. Gales are forecast to ease
throughout the day on Saturday as a ridge of high pressure approaches
from the west.

Marine interests are advised that gale warnings are in effect for all
waters except Strait of Belle Isle and Belle Isle Bank.

Marine interests are also advised that freezing spray warnings are in
effect for all regions with open water except Southeastern Grand
Banks.
