At 3:30 p.m. NDT today approaching trough located over the
Maritimes.
At 3:00 a.m. NDT today ridge located over Funk Island Bank.
By 3:30 p.m. NDT today departing ridge located east of the Marine
District.
Marine Weather Statement
Issued 2:51 AM NDT 8 September 2024 A trough of low pressure over the Southern Gulf of St. Lawrence willmove to lie to the north of the district later today. Strong to gale
force southeasterlies ahead of the trough will shift to strong
southwesterlies as it passes.
Another trough approaching from the west will sweep across the
district on Monday. Strong to gale force southerlies will develop
ahead of this feature and then shift to strong west to
southwesterlies in its wake.
Marine interests are advised that gale warnings are in effect for
Gulf - Port au Port, Southwest Coast - west of Ramea, and South
Coast.
