Wind diminishing to southwest 25 this afternoon then increasing to northwest 35 to 45 this evening. Wind diminishing to northwest 25 Friday morning then backing to west 15 to 20 Friday afternoon.

Rain with a risk of thunderstorms changing to showers this afternoon and ending Friday morning. Fog patches forming this morning and dissipating this evening.

Issued 3:00 AM NDT 15 October 2026 Today Tonight and Friday At 3:00 a.m. NDT today deepening low 993 mb located over
southwestern Newfoundland.
By 3:00 a.m. NDT Friday low 979 mb located over Funk Island Bank.

At 3:00 a.m. NDT today departing ridge located east of the Grand
Banks.

Marine Weather Statement

Issued 2:55 AM NDT 15 October 2026 A low pressure system over Southwestern Newfoundland will deepen as
it tracks northeastward to lie over Funk Island Bank by this evening.
Gale to storm force southerlies to southeasterlies ahead of the low
will shift to gale to storm force westerlies to northwesterlies in
its wake.

Marine interests are advised that storm warnings are in effect for
Belle Isle Bank, Funk Island Bank, and Northern Grand Banks.
Gale warnings are in effect for all remaining waters.
