At 10:00 a.m. NDT today trough from low located near Long Island.
By 10:00 a.m. NDT Thursday trough from low located on a line
northwest-southeast over Cabot Strait.

At 10:00 a.m. NDT today ridge located over Newfoundland.
By 8:00 p.m. NDT tonight departing ridge located east of Belle
Isle Bank.

Marine Weather Statement

Issued 9:45 AM NDT 23 October 2019 A low pressure system approaching from the west will cross over
Anticosti Island tonight before slowly moving through Southeastern
Labrador on Thursday. An associated trough extending southward from
the low is expected to cross the marine district on Thursday. Strong
to gale force southerlies will develop ahead of the trough and
diminish to strong southwesterlies in its wake.

Marine interests are advised that gale warnings are in effect for
Strait of Belle Isle, Gulf waters, Southwest Coast, and Belle Isle
Bank.
