By 10:00 a.m. NDT Saturday low 980 mb located east of the Grand
Banks.

At 10:00 a.m. NDT today trough located on a line northwest-southeast
over Cape Breton Island.
By 3:00 a.m. NDT Saturday departing trough located south of the
Grand Banks.

At 10:00 a.m. NDT today ridge located from Labrador to the Grand
Banks.
By 10:00 a.m. NDT Saturday ridge located from Funk Island Bank
to Banquereau.

Marine Weather Statement

Issued 9:50 AM NDT 31 March 2023 A deepening low pressure system south of the Grand Banks will track
along the southern and eastern edges of the Grand Banks today and
tonight. Strong to gale force northeasterlies will develop over
southeastern waters as the low approaches. Winds will back to strong
to gale force northwesterlies as the low departs the district
Saturday morning.

Marine interests are advised that gale warnings are in effect for
Northern Grand Banks - eastern half and Southeastern Grand Banks.
