Issued 3:00 AM NST 25 January 2022 Today Tonight and Wednesday At 3:00 a.m. NST today low 1001 mb located north of the Avalon
Peninsula.
By 10:00 a.m. NST today departing low 1003 mb located over eastern
Funk Island Bank.

At 3:00 a.m. NST today low 1006 mb located over the Great Lakes.
By 3:00 a.m. NST Wednesday low 1004 mb located over the Gulf of
St. Lawrence.

At 3:00 a.m. NST today ridge located on a line northwest-southeast
over the Maritimes.
By 8:00 p.m. NST tonight departing ridge located on a line
northwest-southeast over the northern Grand Banks.

Marine Weather Statement

Issued 2:58 AM NST 25 January 2022 A low pressure system north of the Avalon Peninsula will continue
northeast today and depart the marine district late this morning.
Strong to gale force southerlies will continue over southeastern
waters ahead of the low and shift to strong northwesterlies today in
its wake.

A second low pressure system will approach the district from the west
on Wednesday to lie over Gulf waters by Wednesday morning. Strong to
gale force southeasterlies to southerlies will spread across the
district tonight into Wednesday ahead of the low before shifting to
strong to gale force southwesterlies to westerlies in its wake.

Marine interests are advised that gale warnings are in effect for all
waters.

Marine interests are also advised that freezing spray warnings are in
effect for Gulf waters, Northeast Coast, Belle Isle Bank, and Funk
Island Bank.
