Issued 3:30 PM NST 18 January 2020 Tonight and Sunday At 3:30 p.m. NST today low 957 mb located northeast of Belle
Isle Bank.
By 3:00 a.m. NST Sunday departing low 956 mb located east of
Greenland.

At 3:00 a.m. NST Sunday approaching low 1007 mb located near
Cape Cod.

At 3:30 p.m. NST today ridge located over New England.
By 3:30 p.m. NST Sunday ridge located on a line northwest-southeast
over the Grand Banks.

Marine Weather Statement

Issued 3:30 PM NST 18 January 2020 An intense low pressure system departing northeast of the Belle Isle
Bank will continue to move further out to sea tonight. Gale to storm
force winds in the wake of the low will diminish tonight as the low
moves away and a ridge of high pressure approaches from the west.

A second low will approach the marine district from the southwest on
Sunday. Gale force east to southeasterlies will develop over southern
waters ahead of the low by Sunday evening.

Marine interests are advised that storm warnings are in effect for
Belle Isle Bank and Funk Island Bank. Gale warnings are in effect for
Strait of Belle Isle - eastern half, Southwest Coast, South Coast,
East Coast - north of Cape St. Francis, Northeast Coast, Northern
Grand Banks and Southwestern Grand Banks.

Marine interests are also advised that freezing spray warnings are in
effect for all waters.
