Issued 8:00 PM NST 7 February 2023 Tonight and Wednesday At 8:00 p.m. NST tonight trough located south of the Grand Banks.By 3:30 p.m. NST Wednesday trough located east of Funk Island Bank.
At 8:00 p.m. NST tonight low 990 mb located southwest of the
Grand Banks.
By 8:00 p.m. NST Wednesday low 984 mb located east of the Grand
Banks.
At 8:00 p.m. NST tonight ridge located on a line east-west over
Belle Isle Bank.
By 3:00 a.m. NST Wednesday ridge located east of the Marine
District.
Marine Weather Statement
Issued 7:56 PM NST 7 February 2023 A trough of low pressure just south of the Grand Banks will remainnearly stationary this evening before moving east of Funk Island Bank
by Wednesday afternoon. Gale force northeasterlies north of the
trough will give way to moderate to strong southerlies as it passes.
A low pressure system southwest of the Grand Banks will move
northeastward and pass just southeast of the Grand Banks on
Wednesday. Strong to gale force northwesterlies are forecast over
southern and eastern waters as it passes by.
Marine interests are advised that gale warnings are in effect for
South Coast, East Coast - Cape St. Francis and south, Funk Island
Bank, and the Grand Banks.
Marine interests are also advised that freezing spray warnings are in
effect for Gulf waters, Southwest Coast, South Coast, East Coast and
Belle Isle Bank.
