Issued 3:00 AM NST 6 December 2021 Today Tonight and Tuesday At 3:00 a.m. NST today ridge located on a line northwest-southeast
over the Maritimes.
By 3:00 a.m. NST Tuesday departing ridge located east of the
Marine District.

At 3:00 a.m. NST today trough located south of the Great Lakes.
By 3:00 a.m. NST Tuesday trough located over New Brunswick.

Marine Weather Statement

Issued 2:50 AM NST 6 December 2021 A trough of low pressure will approach the district from the west on
Monday. Gale to storm force south to southeasterlies will spread
across all waters tonight and Tuesday ahead of the trough. Winds will
shift to gale to storm force southwest to westerlies in its wake
later on Tuesday.

Marine interests are advised that storm warnings are in effect for
all waters except the Grand Banks where gale warnings are in effect.

Marine interests are also advised that freezing spray warnings are in
effect for Strait of Belle Isle and Belle Isle Bank.

Marine interests are further advised that higher than normal water
levels and pounding surf can be expected along south-facing
shorelines along the south and west coasts of Newfoundland.
High water level warnings are in effect for Strait of Belle Isle and
Northeast Gulf.
