Issued 10:00 AM NST 28 November 2023 Today Tonight and Wednesday At 10:00 a.m. NST today trough located on a line northwest-southeastover Banquereau.
By 10:00 a.m. NST Wednesday departing trough located over the
eastern Marine District.
At 3:00 a.m. NST Wednesday intensifying low 997 mb located southwest
of Laurentian Fan.
By 8:00 p.m. NST Wednesday deepening low 986 mb located over Funk
Island Bank.
Marine Weather Statement
Issued 9:48 AM NST 28 November 2023 A trough of low pressure over the Gulf of St. Lawrence will sweepacross the marine district today. Gale to storm force southeasterlies
will spread across all waters ahead of the trough then diminish in
its wake.
An intensifying low pressure system will approach from the southwest
tonight and track northeastward across the Grand Banks on Wednesday.
Gale force southeasterlies ahead of the low will shift to gale to
storm force westerlies in its wake.
Marine interests are advised that storm warnings are in effect for
all waters except Strait of Belle Isle - western half and Gulf waters
where gale warnings are in effect.
Marine interests are also advised that a high water level warning is
in effect for Southwest Coast.
