of Greenland.
At 10:00 a.m. NST Wednesday approaching trough located over Quebec
extending southwestward.
At 8:00 p.m. NST tonight ridge located on a line north-south over
the Gulf of St. Lawrence.
By 8:00 p.m. NST Wednesday ridge located east of the Marine
District.
Marine Weather Statement
Issued 7:50 PM NST 16 December 2025 An intense low pressure system southeast of Greenland will continuetracking northeastwards tonight. Gale force west to northwesterlies
over northeastern waters behind the low will gradually diminish
tonight and Wednesday as it departs the marine district.
A trough of low pressure will approach from the west on Wednesday.
Strong to gale force southwesterlies will spread across the marine
district ahead of the trough.
Marine interests are advised that gale warnings are in effect for all
waters except the East Coast, Northeast Coast and the Southern Grand
Banks.
Marine interests are also advised that freezing spray warnings are in
effect for Strait of Belle Isle, Gulf waters, Northeast Coast, Belle
Isle Bank, and Funk Island Bank.
