Marine Weather StatementIssued 2:48 AM NST 3 December 2021 A low pressure system over the Gaspé Peninsula will move across the
Gulf waters and the Strait of Belle Isle today to lie over Belle Isle
Bank by Saturday morning. Strong to gale force south to southeasterly
winds will spread across all waters this morning ahead of the low.
Winds will shift to gale to storm force northwest to southwesterlies
in the low's wake this evening.
Marine interests are advised that storm warnings are in effect for
Northeast Coast and Belle Isle Bank. Gale warnings are in effect for
all remaining waters.
Marine interests are also advised that freezing spray warnings are in
effect for Strait of Belle Isle, Northeast Gulf, Northeast Coast, and
Belle Isle Bank.
