Marine Weather Statement
Issued 7:40 PM AST 9 November 2024 A low pressure system will remain east of Newfoundland beforetracking northward away from the region later in the day on Sunday.
In the wake of this system, strong to gale force northerly winds are
expected to diminish from west to east tonight and throughout Sunday.
Marine interests are advised that gale warnings are in effect for all
waters except Fundy, Grand Manan, Lurcher, Browns Bank, Georges Bank,
Northumberland Strait - western half, Chaleur-Miscou and Anticosti.
Outlook for the start-up of the Southwest New Brunswick lobster
fishery.
