Marine Weather StatementIssued 2:29 AM AST 29 November 2022 A low pressure system east of Newfoundland will continue to track
northeastward away from the marine district today. A ridge of high
pressure over New England will move eastward to lie over the central
marine district tonight and over eastern waters Wednesday afternoon.
Strong to gale force northwesterlies will diminish as the ridge
approaches and will become light in its vicinity.
A trough of low pressure will move to lie from Ontario to New England
Wednesday afternoon. Over western waters, strong to gale force
southerlies will develop ahead of this trough.
Marine interests are advised that gale warnings are in effect for
Fundy, Grand Manan, Lurcher, Browns Bank, Georges Bank, southwestern
shore, LaHave Bank, West Scotian Slope, Banquereau, Cabot Strait,
Gulf-Magdalen and Anticosti.
Outlook for the start of the Southwest Nova lobster fishery.
