Issued 10:00 AM AST 17 January 2021 Today Tonight and Monday At 10:00 a.m. AST today low 977 mb located over Prince Edward
Island.
By 3:30 p.m. AST today low 976 mb located near the Gaspe Peninsula.

At 3:30 p.m. AST Monday departing low 982 mb located over western
Labrador.

Marine Weather Statement

Issued 9:48 AM AST 17 January 2021 A low pressure system over Prince Edward Island will move north to
lie over Western Labrador Monday afternoon. Gale to storm force
southeasterly winds ahead of this system will veer to strong to gale
force southwesterlies as the low moves northward.

Marine interests are advised that storm warnings are in effect for
Fourchu, Banquereau - western half, Laurentian Fan - western half,
Cabot Strait, and Gulf-Magdalen - eastern half. Gale warnings are in
effect for all remaining waters except Northumberland Strait -
western half.

Marine interests are also advised that a high water level warning is
in effect for Gulf-Magdalen for near high tide near noon today.
In addition, higher than normal water levels are expected for
Chaleur-Miscou for early this evening.
