Issued 3:00 AM ADT 19 September 2024 Today Tonight and Friday At 3:00 a.m. ADT today intensifying low 1010 mb located southwest
of Georges Bank.
By 3:00 a.m. ADT Friday quasi-stationary low 1002 mb located
southwest of Georges Bank.

At 3:00 a.m. ADT today trough located over the Gulf of St. Lawrence.
By 3:30 p.m. ADT today departing trough located south of
Newfoundland.

At 3:30 p.m. ADT today quasi-stationary ridge located over the
northern Marine District.

Marine Weather Statement

Issued 2:45 AM ADT 19 September 2024 A low pressure system south of Long Island will remain
quasi-stationary today and Friday as it deepens southwest of the
region. Strong to gale force northeasterly winds will develop over
parts of the southwestern marine district north of the low.

Marine interests are advised that gale warnings are in effect for
Browns Bank, Georges Bank - northern half, LaHave Bank - western
half, West Scotian Slope - northern half and East Scotian Slope -
western half.
