Technical Marine Synopsis

Issued 8:00 PM AST 7 December 2025 Tonight and Monday At 8:00 p.m. AST tonight intensifying low 1014 mb located over
the Gulf of Maine.
By 8:00 p.m. AST Monday departing low 991 mb located over
southeastern Newfoundland.

At 8:00 p.m. AST Monday approaching ridge located over the Great
Lakes.

Marine Weather Statement

Issued 7:41 PM AST 7 December 2025 A low pressure system will move into the Gulf of Maine tonight and
then track south of Nova Scotia Monday morning to lie near
Southeastern Newfoundland by Monday evening. Strong to gale force
northwesterlies will develop across the district on Monday in the
wake of the low. In addition, freezing spray is expected over most
northern waters late Monday as these northwesterlies usher in cold
air.

Marine interests are advised that gale warnings are in effect for
Lurcher, Browns Bank, Georges Bank, southwestern shore, LaHave Bank,
West Scotian Slope, eastern shore, Sable, East Scotian Slope,
Fourchu, Banquereau, Laurentian Fan, Cabot Strait and Northumberland
Strait - eastern half.

Freezing spray warnings are in effect for Fundy, Grand Manan,
Lurcher, southwestern shore, eastern shore, and all Gulf of St.
Lawrence waters.
