Technical Marine Synopsis

Issued 3:30 PM ADT 5 July 2020 Tonight and Monday At 3:30 p.m. ADT today quasi-stationary trough located over New
Brunswick.

At 3:00 a.m. ADT Monday tropical depression FIVE 1011 mb located
south of Laurentian Fan.
By 8:00 p.m. ADT Monday departing tropical depression FIVE 1009
mb located southeast of the Grand Banks.

Marine Weather Statement

Issued 3:17 PM ADT 5 July 2020 At 12 PM ADT tropical depression five was located near latitude 34.5
north and longitude 63.0 west, about 160 nautical miles or 295
kilometres northeast of Bermuda. Maximum sustained winds were 30
knots and the central pressure was 1008 MB. The motion was northeast
at 18 knots. This system may strengthen to a marginal tropical storm
but is still expected to have minimal impact on Canadian waters as it
passes south of the marine district on Monday.
