Technical Marine Synopsis

Issued 10:00 AM AST 8 December 2023 Today Tonight and Saturday At 10:00 a.m. AST today low 950 mb located northeast of
Newfoundland.
By 8:00 p.m. AST Saturday departing low 964 mb located east of
the Grand Banks.

At 10:00 a.m. AST today ridge located over Quebec.
By 8:00 p.m. AST Saturday ridge located on a line north-south over
the central Marine District.

Marine Weather Statement

Issued 9:38 AM AST 8 December 2023 Gale force northwesterly winds over northern and eastern waters in
the wake of an intense low pressure system northeast of Newfoundland
will gradually diminish tonight and Saturday as a ridge of high
pressure builds in from the west.

Marine interests are advised that gale warnings are in effect for
Banquereau, Laurentian Fan, Cabot Strait, Gulf-Magdalen, and
Anticosti.

      • Use the ↓ Down key to select the link below. If none are selected, it will select the last link.
      • Use the Page Up key to move a selection up in the list.
      • Use the Page Down key to move a selection down in the list.
