Issued 10:00 AM ADT 10 October 2026 Today Tonight and Sunday At 10:00 a.m. ADT today trough located over the northern Gulf of
St. Lawrence.
By 8:00 p.m. ADT tonight trough located over the Avalon Peninsula.

At 3:30 p.m. ADT today ridge located over New England.
By 8:00 p.m. ADT Sunday ridge located south of the Marine District.

At 8:00 p.m. ADT Sunday approaching trough located west of the
Marine District.

Marine Weather Statement

Issued 9:41 AM ADT 10 October 2026 A trough of low pressure will pass over northeastern waters today
with strong to gale force northwesterlies. Winds will ease tonight as
a ridge approaches the district.

Marine interests are advised that gale warnings are in effect for
Banquereau, Laurentian Fan, Cabot Strait, Gulf - Magdalen -
northeastern half, and Anticosti - southwestern half.

Outlook for the start-up of the Upper Bay of Fundy lobster fishery.

Monday...Winds southwest 25 knots veering to west 10 to 15 knots
mid-day and then to northeast 25 in the evening. Choppy sea
conditions in the evening when winds will be running against the
rising tide.
Tuesday...Winds northeast 25 knots diminishing to east 15 to 20 knots
near noon then increasing to southeast 20 knots late in the day.
Choppy sea conditions in the morning when winds will run against the
rising tide.
Wednesday...Winds southeast 20 becoming west 20 to 25 knots in the
afternoon. Choppy sea conditions late in the day when winds will be
running against the ebbing tide.
