Issued 3:30 PM NST 24 February 2024 Tonight and Sunday At 3:30 p.m. NST today trough located on a line northeast-southwest
over Cabot Strait.
By 3:30 p.m. NST Sunday trough located on a line north-south over
the northern Grand Banks.

Marine Weather Statement

Issued 3:32 PM NST 24 February 2024 A trough of low pressure over the Cabot Strait will track eastward
across the marine district tonight and Sunday, departing to the east
of the district by Sunday evening. Strong to gale force southerlies
ahead of trough will shift to strong to gale force west to
northwesterlies in its wake.

Marine interests are advised that gale warnings are in effect for all
waters except Strait of Belle Isle - western half, Northeast Gulf,
Gulf - Port au Port - northwestern half, and Southeastern Grand
Banks.

Marine interests are also advised that freezing spray warnings are in
effect for Gulf waters, Southwest Coast, East Coast - north of Cape
St. Francis, Northeast Coast, Belle Isle Bank, and Funk Island Bank.
