At 3:00 a.m. NST Monday approaching low 1014 mb located over
the Maritimes.
At 10:00 a.m. NST today ridge located on a line northeast-southwest
over the Grand Banks.
By 10:00 a.m. NST Monday departing ridge located on a line
northwest-southeast over Belle Isle Bank.
Marine Weather Statement
Issued 9:49 AM NST 29 January 2023 A trough located over Southeastern Quebec will cross Belle Isle Bankthis afternoon. Strong to gale force southwesterly winds ahead of the
trough will become strong to gale force westerlies in its wake today.
A low pressure system approaching from the southwest will cross
Newfoundland on Monday. Strong to gale force southeasterly to
southwesterly winds will develop to the south of the low's track on
Monday.
Marine interests are advised that gale warnings are in effect for all
waters except the Southern Grand Banks.
Marine interests are also advised that freezing spray warnings are in
effect for Strait of Belle Isle, Gulf waters, Northeast Coast, Belle
Isle Bank, and Funk Island Bank.
