Issued 3:30 PM NST 30 January 2023 Tonight and Tuesday At 3:30 p.m. NST today low 1008 mb located over Funk Island Bank.By 10:00 a.m. NST Tuesday departing low 1005 mb located east of
the Marine District.
At 10:00 a.m. NST Tuesday trough located over Belle Isle Bank.
By 3:30 p.m. NST Tuesday trough located from Belle Isle Bank to
Sable Island.
Marine Weather Statement
Issued 3:27 PM NST 30 January 2023 A low pressure system over Funk Island Bank will continue to tracknortheastwards to lie east of the marine district by tomorrow
morning. Strong to gale force south to southwesterlies can be
expected to the east and south of the low's track this afternoon and
tonight. Winds will diminish to light to moderate from west to east
in its wake through Tuesday morning.
Marine interests are advised that gale warnings are in effect for
Southwest Coast, South Coast, East Coast, Funk Island Bank, and the
Grand Banks.
Marine interests are also advised that freezing spray warnings are in
effect for Strait of Belle Isle, Gulf waters, and Northeast Coast.
