Wind light increasing to southeast 15 to 20 knots late this evening and to southeast 25 late overnight. Wind increasing to southeast 35 Tuesday morning then veering to southwest 35 to 45 Tuesday afternoon. Wind becoming southwest 45 Tuesday evening with gusts to 55 along the coast.

Snow changing to freezing rain or rain Tuesday morning then to rain near noon Tuesday. Fog banks forming Tuesday morning. Visibility 1 mile or less in snow and in fog banks.

Temperatures minus 15 to minus 10 rising to plus 3 near noon Tuesday.

Issued 8:00 PM NDT 16 March 2026 Tonight and Tuesday At 8:00 p.m. NDT tonight trough located over the Maritimes.
By 8:00 p.m. NDT Tuesday trough located on a line
northwest-southeast over Labrador Sea.

At 8:00 p.m. NDT tonight ridge located on a line north-south over
eastern Newfoundland.
By 10:00 a.m. NDT Tuesday departing ridge located east of the
Marine District.

Marine Weather Statement

Issued 7:54 PM NDT 16 March 2026 A trough of low pressure over the Maritimes will track northeastward
across Newfoundland overnight. Strong to gale force southeasterlies
ahead of the trough will shift to southwesterlies behind it.

Marine interests are advised that gale warnings are in effect for all
waters.

Marine interests are also advised that freezing spray warnings are in
effect for Northeast Gulf, Belle Isle Bank, and Funk Island Bank.
