Marine District.
At 3:30 p.m. NST Saturday approaching trough located over the
Maritimes.
At 8:00 p.m. NST tonight ridge located on a line northwest-southeast
over the southern Marine District.
By 3:30 p.m. NST Saturday ridge located on a line
northwest-southeast over the southern Grand Banks.
Marine Weather Statement
Issued 7:55 PM NST 13 December 2019 A trough east of Belle Isle Bank will continue to move southeastwardtonight. Strong to gale force northwesterlies are expected over
northeastern waters in its wake. Winds will diminish early on
Saturday as the trough departs to the east.
A second trough will approach from the southwest on Saturday. Strong
to gale force southeasterlies will develop ahead of the trough over
southwestern waters late in the period.
Marine interests are advised that gale warnings are in effect for
Gulf - Port au Port, Southwest Coast, Belle Isle Bank, Funk Island
Bank, and the Northern Grand Banks.
Marine interests are also advised that freezing spray warnings are in
effect for all waters except the Southwest Coast, South Coast, East
Coast - Cape St. Francis and south, and the Southern Grand Banks.
