Marine Weather StatementIssued 3:11 PM NST 7 December 2019 A low pressure system over the South Coast will track northeastward
across the Avalon Peninsula this evening and out to sea early Sunday
morning. Strong to gale force southerlies over the Grand Banks will
diminish to strong westerlies in the wake of the low tonight.
An intensifying trough of low pressure will approach the marine
district from the Labrador Sea Sunday afternoon. Strong to gale force
northwesterlies will develop over northern waters late in the day on

Belle Isle Bank and the Grand Banks.
Marine interests are also advised that freezing spray warnings are in
effect for the Strait of Belle Isle, Northeast Gulf, Gulf - Port au
