Issued 3:00 AM NST 12 November 2025 Today Tonight and Thursday At 3:00 a.m. NST today deepening low 967 mb located over the QuebecLower North Shore.
By 3:00 a.m. NST Thursday weakening low 970 mb located over northern
Labrador Coast.
At 3:00 a.m. NST Thursday approaching low 1003 mb located over
southwestern Nova Scotia.
Marine Weather Statement
Issued 2:50 AM NST 12 November 2025 An intense low pressure system over the Quebec Lower North Shore willcontinue deepen today as it tracks into Labrador. Tonight and
Thursday the low is expected to begin to weaken as it continues
northward towards Baffin Island. Gale to storm force southeast to
southwesterlies are expected this morning with this low before
diminishing to strong to gale force south to southwesterlies this
afternoon as the low begins to pull away.
On Thursday another low pressure system is expected to approach from
the Maritimes and rapidly deepen as it track towards Southeastern
Newfoundland. Strong to gale force east to northeasterlies will
develop over southern waters on Thursday afternoon. Winds will shift
to strong to gale force southwesterlies behind the low Thursday
evening.
Marine interests are advised that storm warnings are in effect for
Strait of Belle Isle, Gulf waters, Northeast Coast, Belle Isle Bank,
and Funk Island Bank. Gale warnings are in effect for all remaining
waters.
