By 8:00 p.m. NDT Saturday ridge located east of the Grand Banks.

At 3:00 a.m. NDT Saturday trough located on a line
northeast-southwest over Labrador Sea.
By 3:30 p.m. NDT Saturday trough located on a line
northeast-southwest over southern Labrador Sea.

Marine Weather Statement

Issued 9:21 PM NDT 17 September 2021 A trough of low pressure will move across northern waters late in the
day on Saturday. Gale force southwesterly winds will develop ahead of
the trough Saturday morning.

Marine interests are advised that gale warnings are in effect for the
Strait of Belle Isle and Belle Isle Bank.

At 9:30 PM NDT, tropical storm Odette was located at 36.9 north 71.6
west, or 240 nautical miles south-southeast of New York City, with a
minimum central pressure of 1010 MB. Maximum sustained winds were 35
knots and Odette was moving northeast at 17 knots. Odette is expected
to enter Canadian waters on Sunday with gale to storm force winds
expected over southern waters Sunday and Monday.
