Issued 10:00 AM NST 17 January 2022 Today Tonight and Tuesday At 10:00 a.m. NST today ridge located over the southwestern
Grand Banks.
By 10:00 a.m. NST Tuesday ridge located east of the Marine District.

At 10:00 a.m. NST today deepening low 982 mb located over New
England.
By 10:00 a.m. NST Tuesday low 978 mb located over western Labrador.

Marine Weather Statement

Issued 9:54 AM NST 17 January 2022 A deepening low pressure system located over New England will track
through the Maritimes tonight before moving into Labrador by Tuesday
afternoon. Gale to storm force southeasterlies are forecast as the
low passes west of the marine district.

Marine interests are advised that storm warnings are in effect for
Gulf-Port au Port, Southwest Coast, South Coast, East Coast,
Northeast Coast - Cape St. John and south, Belle Isle Bank, Funk
Island Bank and Southwestern Grand Banks. Gale warnings are in effect
for all remaining waters.

Marine interests are further advised that freezing spray warnings are
in effect for Strait of Belle Isle, Northeast Coast, Belle Isle Bank
and Funk Island Bank. Additionally, a high water level warning is in
effect for Southwest Coast for high tide Tuesday morning.
