Issued 3:30 PM NST 8 December 2024 Tonight and Monday At 3:30 p.m. NST today low 979 mb located north of Labrador Sea.
By 8:00 p.m. NST tonight departing low 984 mb located north of
Labrador Sea.

At 3:30 p.m. NST today low 999 mb located over southern Quebec.
By 3:30 p.m. NST Monday low 993 mb located over the eastern Strait
of Belle Isle.

At 3:30 p.m. NST today ridge located on a line northwest-southeast
over Newfoundland.
By 10:00 a.m. NST Monday departing ridge located east of Belle
Isle Bank.

Marine Weather Statement

Issued 3:06 PM NST 8 December 2024 A low pressure system will approach from Quebec and cross
Newfoundland on Monday. Gale to storm force southeasterlies will
develop ahead of the low and shift to strong to gale force southwest
to northwesterlies in its wake.

Marine interests are advised storm warnings are in effect for South
Coast, East Coast, Funk Island Bank, and Southwestern Grand Banks.
Gale warnings are in effect for all remaining waters except Northeast
Gulf.

Marine interests are also advised that freezing spray warnings are in
effect for Strait of Belle Isle and Belle Isle Bank.
