Rain beginning near midnight changing to showers Thursday morning. Fog patches forming Thursday morning and dissipating Thursday evening.

By 8:00 p.m. NST tonight departing low 989 mb located east of Funk
Island Bank.

At 8:00 p.m. NST tonight low 989 mb located south of Nova Scotia.
By 8:00 p.m. NST Thursday low 985 mb located over the Northeast
Coast of Newfoundland.

At 3:30 p.m. NST today ridge located on a line northwest-southeast
over southwestern Newfoundland.
By 3:30 p.m. NST Thursday departing ridge located east of the
Marine District.

Marine Weather Statement

Issued 3:19 PM NST 11 February 2026 A low pressure system will approach from the southwest tonight and
track across Newfoundland on Thursday. Strong to gale force
northeasterly to southeasterly winds will develop ahead of the low
tonight and Thursday, then shift to strong to gale force westerlies
to southwesterlies in its wake.

Marine interests are advised that gale warnings are in effect for
Southwest Coast, South Coast, East Coast - Cape St. Francis and
south, Funk Island Bank, and the Grand Banks.
