Technical Marine Synopsis

Issued 8:00 PM NST 24 November 2020 Tonight and Wednesday At 8:00 p.m. NST tonight intensifying low 970 mb located over
southern Labrador Sea.
By 3:30 p.m. NST Wednesday low 955 mb located south of Greenland.

At 3:00 a.m. NST Wednesday high located over Maine.
By 8:00 p.m. NST Wednesday high located over Banquereau.

Marine Weather Statement

Issued 7:47 PM NST 24 November 2020 An intense low pressure system over the South Labrador Sea will move
to lie south of Greenland on Wednesday. Gale to storm force
southwesterlies will shift to northwesterlies tonight as the low
pulls away. Over Belle Isle Bank winds will increase to storm to
hurricane force northwesterlies tonight. Winds will gradually
diminish on Wednesday as the low continues to move away and a ridge
of high pressure approaches from the west.

Marine interests are advised that a hurricane force wind warning is
in effect for Belle Isle Bank. Storm warnings are in effect for
Strait of Belle Isle, Northeast Gulf, Northeast Coast and Funk Island
Bank. Gale warnings are in effect for all remaining waters.

Marine interests are also advised that freezing spray warnings are in
effect for Strait of Belle Isle, Gulf waters, Northeast Coast, and
Belle Isle Bank.
