Issued 3:00 AM NST 20 January 2019 Today Tonight and Monday At 3:00 a.m. NST today low 972 mb located over Labrador Sea.
By 3:30 p.m. NST today departing low 980 mb located east of the
Marine District.

At 8:00 p.m. NST tonight low 984 mb located near Maine.
By 8:00 p.m. NST Monday low 984 mb located over the Gulf of
St. Lawrence.

At 3:00 a.m. NST today ridge located on a line northwest-southeast
over the Gulf of St. Lawrence.
By 3:00 a.m. NST Monday ridge located on a line east-west over
Belle Isle Bank.

Marine Weather Statement

Issued 2:50 AM NST 20 January 2019 An intense low pressure system over the Labrador Sea will move to lie
south of Greenland this afternoon. Gale to storm force west to
northwesterlies over northern waters will gradually diminish today as
the low moves away and a ridge of high pressure approaches from the
Maritimes.

A second low will approach the Maritimes from the southwest this
evening then move to lie over the Gulf of St. Lawrence on Monday.
Strong to gale force east to southeasterlies will develop over
western waters this evening then spread elsewhere overnight and
Monday as the low approaches. Over Gulf - Port au Port gale to storm
force southeasterlies are expected overnight tonight.

Marine interests are advised that a storm warning is in effect for
the Belle Isle Bank and Gulf - Port au Port southeastern half.
Gale warnings are in effect for all remaining waters.

Marine interests are also advised that freezing spray warnings are in
effect for all waters except Southwest Coast, South Coast, East Coast
Cape St. Francis and south and the Southern Grand Banks.
