Issued 10:00 AM NST 29 November 2023 Today Tonight and Thursday At 10:00 a.m. NST today departing trough located over Labrador Sea.

At 10:00 a.m. NST today intensifying low 991 mb located over
eastern Laurentian Fan.
By 10:00 a.m. NST Thursday low 975 mb located over Labrador Sea.

Marine Weather Statement

Issued 10:21 AM NST 29 November 2023 A trough of low pressure over the Labrador will continue to track
northeastward this afternoon. Strong to gale force southwesterlies
will diminish in its wake.

A developing low pressure system south of the Laurentian Fan will
track northeastward today and rapidly intensify. It is expected to
pass east of the Avalon Peninsula this evening and move north of the
district on Thursday morning. Gale force southeasterlies ahead of the
low will shift to gale to storm force westerlies in its wake.

Marine interests are advised that storm warnings are in effect for
East Coast - Cape St. Francis and south, and the Grand Banks.
Gale warnings are in effect for South Coast, East Coast - north of
Cape St. Francis, Belle Isle Bank and Funk Island Bank.

Marine interests are also advised that freezing spray warnings are in
effect for Strait of Belle Isle - eastern half and Belle Isle Bank.
