At 3:00 a.m. NST today low 1011 mb located north of Prince Edward
Island.
By 3:00 a.m. NST Tuesday low 1005 mb located east of Belle Isle
Bank.
At 3:00 a.m. NST today ridge located on a line northwest-southeast
over the Grand Banks.
By 10:00 a.m. NST today departing ridge located on a line
northwest-southeast over Belle Isle Bank.
Marine Weather Statement
Issued 2:58 AM NST 30 January 2023 A trough of low pressure over the East Labrador Sea will movenortheastwards this morning. Strong to gale force westerlies over
Belle Isle Bank will diminish this morning as the trough departs.
A low pressure system north of Prince Edward Island will track
northeastwards across Newfoundland today before moving to lie east of
the marine district on Tuesday. Strong to gale force southeasterlies
to southwesterlies can be expected to the east and south of the low's
track today. Winds will diminish to light to moderate in its wake
tonight and Tuesday.
Marine interests are advised that gale warnings are in effect for all
waters except Strait of Belle Isle, Northeast Gulf, and Northeast
Coast.
Marine interests are also advised that freezing spray warnings are in
effect for Strait of Belle Isle, Gulf waters, Northeast Coast, Belle
Isle Bank, and Funk Island Bank.
