At 10:00 a.m. NDT today trough located on a line east-west over
northern Quebec.
By 10:00 a.m. NDT Saturday trough located on a line
northeast-southwest over Funk Island Bank.
Marine Weather Statement
Issued 10:01 AM NDT 11 September 2026 A trough of low pressure over the Grand Banks will depart east of theGrand Banks this evening. Strong to gale force southwesterlies ahead
of this trough will diminish to strong southwesterlies in its wake.
Meanwhile, a second trough will approach from the northwest. Strong
to gale force westerlies ahead of this second trough will veer to
strong to gale force northwesterlies in its wake.
Marine interests are advised that gale warnings are in effect for
Strait of Belle Isle - eastern half, Gulf - Port au Port, Belle Isle
Bank, Funk Island Bank, Northern Grand Banks, and Southeastern Grand
Banks.
