Marine Weather Statement
Issued 3:26 PM NDT 5 May 2025 A low pressure system east of Belle Isle Bank will depart east of thedistrict tonight. Strong to gale force northwesterlies over most
waters behind this feature will diminish this evening as the low
departs.
On Tuesday, strong to gale force southwesterlies will develop over
western and northern waters between a trough of low pressure tracking
north of the district and a strong area of high pressure passing to
the south.
Marine interests are advised that gale warnings are in effect for
Strait of Belle Isle, Belle Isle Bank, Funk Island Bank, and Northern
Grand Banks.
