By 10:00 a.m. NST Friday merging low 938 mb located east of Belle
Isle Bank.
At 3:30 p.m. NST today low 975 mb located southeast of Labrador Sea.
By 10:00 a.m. NST Friday merging low 938 mb located east of Belle
Isle Bank.
Marine Weather Statement
Issued 3:15 PM NST 7 December 2023 A low pressure system southeast of the Labrador Sea will movesouthwest over Belle Isle Bank this evening. At the same time, a
second low pressure system east of the Grand Banks will track quickly
northeastward and rapidly deepen. The two systems will merge together
Friday morning and remain quasi-stationary east of the marine
district. Strong to gale force north to westerly winds are expected
over all waters with these two systems.
Marine interests are advised that gale warnings are in effect for all
waters.
