By 8:00 p.m. NST tonight departing ridge located on a line
northwest-southeast over the northern Grand Banks.
Marine Weather StatementIssued 9:41 AM NST 25 January 2022 A low pressure system approaching from the west will move to lie over
Quebec Lower North Shore by Wednesday morning then continue to track
northeastward. Strong to gale force southeasterlies to southerlies
will spread across the district tonight into Wednesday ahead of the
low before shifting to strong to gale force southwesterlies to
westerlies in its wake.
Marine interests are advised that gale warnings are in effect for all
waters except northern and Southeastern Grand Banks.
Marine interests are also advised that freezing spray warnings are in
effect for Gulf waters, Northeast Coast, Belle Isle Bank, and Funk
