Wind west 15 knots diminishing to light early this afternoon then increasing to southeast 15 to 20 early this evening. Wind increasing to southeast 35 near midnight then diminishing to west 25 late overnight. Wind diminishing to northwest 15 near noon Wednesday.

Snow or rain beginning this evening changing to showers and fog patches Wednesday morning and ending near noon Wednesday. Visibility 1 mile or less in precipitation and in fog patches.

Temperatures minus 3 to zero rising to plus 4 overnight then falling to minus 4 to minus 1 Wednesday evening.

Funk Island Bank.

At 10:00 a.m. NST today low 1006 mb located over eastern Ontario.
By 10:00 a.m. NST Wednesday low 1004 mb located over the Quebec
Lower North Shore.

At 10:00 a.m. NST today ridge located on a line northwest-southeast
over the Gulf of St. Lawrence.
By 8:00 p.m. NST tonight departing ridge located on a line
northwest-southeast over the northern Grand Banks.

Marine Weather Statement

Issued 9:41 AM NST 25 January 2022 A low pressure system approaching from the west will move to lie over
Quebec Lower North Shore by Wednesday morning then continue to track
northeastward. Strong to gale force southeasterlies to southerlies
will spread across the district tonight into Wednesday ahead of the
low before shifting to strong to gale force southwesterlies to
westerlies in its wake.

Marine interests are advised that gale warnings are in effect for all
waters except northern and Southeastern Grand Banks.

Marine interests are also advised that freezing spray warnings are in
effect for Gulf waters, Northeast Coast, Belle Isle Bank, and Funk
Island Bank.
