By 3:30 p.m. NDT Friday departing ridge located east of the Marine
District.
At 3:00 a.m. NDT Friday deepening low 996 mb located near Nova
Scotia.
By 3:30 p.m. NDT Friday deepening low 986 mb located over the
southern Grand Banks.
Marine Weather Statement
Issued 3:21 PM NDT 23 March 2023 A deepening low pressure system approaching from the west will crossNova Scotia early Friday morning before moving to lie over the Grand
Banks by Friday night. Gale to storm force southeast to northeasterly
winds will develop on Friday ahead of the low before shifting to
strong to gale force westerly winds over southern waters in its wake.
Marine interests are advised that storm warnings are in effect for
the Grand Banks. Gale warnings are in effect for Southwest Coast,
South Coast, East Coast and Funk Island Bank.
