Technical Marine Synopsis

Issued 3:00 AM NDT 10 October 2024 Today Tonight and Friday At 3:00 a.m. NDT today trough located on a line northwest-southeast
over central Newfoundland.
By 3:00 a.m. NDT Friday trough located on a line north-south over
central Funk Island Bank.

Marine Weather Statement

Issued 2:45 AM NDT 10 October 2024 A trough of low pressure over Central Newfoundland will slow
considerably as it approaches eastern waters today before moving east
of the district on Friday. Strong to gale force southeasterlies will
continue to spread across the district ahead of the trough today.

This trough will strengthen into a low over the Labrador coast on
Friday. Strong to gale force northwest to westerly winds will develop
over western and southern waters late in the day on Friday as the low
strengthens.

Marine interests are advised that gale warnings are in effect for all
waters except Strait of Belle Isle, Northeast Gulf, South Coast, and
Northeast Coast.
