Issued 10:00 AM NST 25 February 2021 Today Tonight and Friday At 10:00 a.m. NST today low 966 mb located northeast of the MarineDistrict.
By 3:30 p.m. NST today departing low 962 mb located southeast
of Greenland.
At 10:00 a.m. NST today deepening low 993 mb located over
southeastern New Brunswick.
By 10:00 a.m. NST Friday low 973 mb located northeast of Funk
Island Bank.
Marine Weather Statement
Issued 9:49 AM NST 25 February 2021 A low pressure system northeast of the marine district will continueto depart today. Strong to gale force northwesterlies will diminish
as the low departs.
A second low pressure system over Southeastern New Brunswick will
deepen as it tracks across Southeastern Newfoundland tonight and
moves to lie east of the marine district on Friday. Strong to gale
force south to southwesterlies south of the low will shift to strong
to gale force northwesterlies in its wake on Friday.
Marine interests are advised that gale warnings are in effect for all
waters except Strait of Belle Isle, Northeast Gulf, and Northeast
Coast.
Marine interests are also advised that freezing spray warnings are in
effect for the Gulf waters, Southwest Coast, Northeast Coast, Belle
Isle Bank, and Funk Island Bank.
