Issued 3:00 AM NST 5 December 2024 Today Tonight and Friday At 3:00 a.m. NST today deepening low 993 mb located over Ontario.
By 3:00 a.m. NST Friday low 976 mb located over Anticosti Island.

At 3:00 a.m. NST today ridge located over southwestern Newfoundland.
By 3:00 a.m. NST Friday departing ridge located east of the Marine
District.

Marine Weather Statement

Issued 2:53 AM NST 5 December 2024 A low pressure system will approach from the west today. The low will
intensify as it tracks northeastward through the Gulf of St. Lawrence
to lie over the Mid Labrador Coast Friday evening. Gale to storm
force southeasterlies will spread across all waters tonight.
Winds will shift to strong to gale force southwesterlies in the wake
of the low.

Marine interests are advised storm warnings are in effect for all
waters.
